Good morning, young explorers! Today we are going on an exciting adventure to find hidden treasures in our world of 3D shapes! But first, we need to become Shape Detectives.
Before we begin our adventure, let’s create our Shape Detective badges! You can decorate the badge however you like, but it must say “Shape Detective” and have a room for your name. This badge will give you special permission to search for different shapes around the classroom!
Now that we all have our badges, let’s look for 3D shapes! I have brought some special objects that will help us understand 3D shapes better. As you spot each object, I want you to remember its shape.
Once we have gathered our 3D shapes, we will sit in a circle and talk about what we found.
After our discussion, it's time for some creative fun! Grab a piece of large drawing paper and crayons. Draw one of the 3D shapes you found during our adventure. Can you add some colours or even draw the objects that have that shape?
As Shape Detectives, we have discovered many exciting 3D shapes today! Remember, 3D shapes are all around us in our world. Keep your eyes open, and who knows what else you might find on your adventures!
Let’s get started with our shape hunt and drawing! Happy detective work! 🕵️♂️✨
