Hello, little explorers! Today, we are going to go on a special adventure into the world of feelings, focusing on something called anxiety. Anxiety is a funny word, isn’t it? It means feeling a bit worried or scared about something. Can you think of a time when you felt a little bit nervous? Maybe it was on the first day of school or when you met someone new?
To help us understand anxiety better, first, we will open our magic box of feelings. In this box, we have some special items:
Each of you will get a turn to pick one item from the box and share a time when you felt worried. It could be about a new game, a school performance, or even a dark room. We will listen and learn from each other because everyone feels a bit anxious sometimes, and that's okay!
Next, we're going to calm our nerves with a fun breathing exercise! Just like our balloon, which gets bigger as it fills with air, we will take deep breaths.
Let’s do this together three times!
After our breathing, we’ll sit in a circle and create our Support Star. Each one of you will have a turn to say something nice about the person sitting next to you. This way, we can help each other feel happy and brave!
As we finish our adventure today, remember that it's perfectly fine to feel anxious sometimes. Just like the teddy bear and balloon in our magic box, we are all here to support one another. Together, we can share our feelings and help each other grow!
Let’s give ourselves a big round of applause for being brave explorers of our feelings!
Before we go, take a moment to think about one thing you will do next time you feel anxious. Maybe use your magic breathing, cuddle your teddy bear, or talk to a friend. What will you choose?
You did an amazing job today, little adventurers! 🌟
