Hello, little friends! 🌟 Today, we are going to embark on a magical journey to learn about Atua, which are the powerful spirits and gods in Māori culture. Are you ready to discover some amazing stories and see how Atua help us in our everyday lives? Let’s get started!
To kick off our lesson, let me tell you a fun story about Tāne Mahuta, the Atua of the forest and birds.
In a lush, green forest, Tāne Mahuta was busy creating beautiful trees and inviting birds to come and live with him. One day, he looked around and saw that the trees were lonely. So, he called out to all the birds!
“Come, my feathered friends! Let’s fill this forest with songs and laughter.”
The birds soared through the sky, singing sweet melodies. They made the forest alive with color and joy. 🐦✨
Now, can you imagine what it would be like to live in a forest full of such wonderful sounds and sights?
After our story, we will dive into a fun activity! We’ll use our imagination to create our very own Atua.
