Lesson Outline
1. Introduction (5 minutes)

- Discuss Feelings: Briefly introduce the topic of feelings. Ask the children how they feel today and share your own feelings as a teacher. Use emotion cards to help children recognize and express their emotions.
2. Activity 1: Counting Emotions (10 minutes)
- Counting Objects: Distribute 1-2 counting objects to each child. Ask them to hold their items as they count together.
- Linking to Emotions: After counting, ask each child to share how they feel while counting. For example, "I feel happy when I count my blocks." Encourage them to connect counting with different emotions using the emotion cards.
3. Activity 2: Group Counting Challenge (10 minutes)
- Team Formation: Divide the class into small groups (3-4 children each).
- Counting Game: Each group will receive a set of number cards (1-10) and must count out that many items from the classroom or designated area.
- Collaboration: Encourage the children to work together, share their items, and help each other count. Walk around to support and prompt social interactions.
4. Wrap-Up and Reflection (5 minutes)
- Share Experiences: Ask each group to share their counting experience and how they felt working together.
- Feelings Check-In: Encourage each child to pick an emotion card that represents how they felt during the lesson.
