📖 Story Time: Decimal the Dragon

Once upon a time, in the Land of Numbers, there was a friendly dragon named Decimal. Decimal loved to play with numbers, but he had a unique way of doing it! Instead of just counting whole numbers like 1, 2, and 3, Decimal liked to explore all the little pieces that come between them.

One sunny day, Decimal decided to visit his favourite village, Fractionville.

When he arrived, he noticed something interesting:

• The villagers were trying to split their delicious fruit pies into equal portions for their picnic that day.
• "Oh no!" cried Miss Applepie. "How can we share these pies fairly?"

Decimal, being the kind-hearted dragon he was, flew down and said, "Don’t worry! I can help! Let’s use my magical powers to turn these pies into pieces called decimals."

Decimals are like little friendly fairies that help us understand parts of a whole number. For example:

• If we have 1 whole pie and want to share it between 10 villagers, we can each get 0.1 of the pie! That’s a tiny slice!
