Every year, as the days get shorter and the air gets cooler, a special time of year arrives: Fall! In Fall, something magical happens to the trees. The green leaves change color and fall gently to the ground. Let’s explore this beautiful season together!
In the heart of the forest, the trees are tall and proud. They have lived through the warm summer, soaking in the sunshine. As Fall approaches, the leaves begin to change.
Can you imagine how beautiful the trees look?
As the leaves change color, they begin to whisper in the wind. If you listen carefully, you can hear them saying, "Goodbye, summer! Hello, Fall!" When the wind blows, the leaves dance and swirl through the air, creating a soft rustling sound.
One sunny afternoon, a little girl named Mia went for a walk in the park with her mom. Mia loved Fall. She wore her cozy sweater and crunchy boots. “Look at all the leaves!” she exclaimed. They were everywhere: on the ground, swirling through the air, and even stuck in the branches of trees.
“Let’s collect some beautiful leaves!” said Mia. So, they began picking up the most colorful ones they could find. Mia picked a shiny red leaf, a bright yellow leaf, and a lovely orange leaf.
Mia asked her mom, “What makes the leaves change colors?”
Her mom smiled and explained, “The leaves change color because they get less sunlight in the Fall. They have special colors inside them that we can't see until the green fades away.”
Mia held up her leaves, “Look how pretty they are!”
When Mia and her mom had enough leaves, they sat on a big rock. “Let’s jump in the leaves!” Mia shouted with excitement. They piled the leaves high and took a big jump together!
Whoosh! The leaves flew everywhere! Mia laughed as they landed softly on the ground.
“Let’s make a leaf pile!” she said, and they began gathering all the leaves together, stacking them high.
After playing, Mia had a fun idea. “Mom, can we make art with the leaves?”
“Great idea!” said her mom. They collected their beautiful leaves and brought them home.
At the table, they carefully glued the leaves onto a big piece of paper.
It turned into a beautiful picture of Fall!
Mia decided to share her art with her friends at school. She told them all about the magic of the changing leaves, the colors, and the sounds of Fall. Everyone wanted to make their own leaf art!
They all went outside to see the trees, listen to the leaves, and jump in the piles together.
As the sun began to set, painting the sky pink and orange, Mia felt happy. She knew that Fall was a special time, full of colorful leaves, fun, and magic.
So every year, when the leaves changed color, Mia would remember this wonderful day.
Can you find your own colorful leaves and make something special?
Let’s celebrate the magic of Fall!
