Hello, little artists! 👋 Today we’re going on a colourful journey through the wonderful world of Autumn! 🌳🍁 The leaves are changing, the air is getting crisp, and there are so many beautiful things to see around us. Are you ready to explore?
To kick off our lesson, let’s gather around and listen to a short story called “The Magic of Autumn”. This tale is about a little squirrel named Sammy who loves collecting leaves. As you listen, think about the different colours and shapes of the leaves Sammy finds!
Once upon a time, in a bright and bustling forest, there lived a little squirrel named Sammy. As autumn approached, the trees began to change their outfits. The green leaves turned into fiery reds, brilliant oranges, and sunny yellows! Sammy loved to scurry around the forest to collect all the beautiful leaves.
One sunny day, Sammy discovered a leaf that sparkled in the sunlight. He thought it must be magic! Every time he touched the leaf, it would change colour. Sammy decided to share this special leaf with all his friends, and together they created a rainbow of colours in their little forest playground.
Now that we've filled our minds with autumn colours, it’s time to get creative!
Colour Your Leaves: Start by colouring in the leaf templates with your favourite autumn colours. Think about the reds, oranges, yellows, and browns that Sammy saw!
Share Your Leaves: Once done, share your colourful leaves with a partner and talk about the colours you used.
Create Your Forest Scene: Now take your colourful leaves and paste them onto the big piece of paper to create a beautiful autumn landscape together!
Add Details: Use crayons and markers to draw trees, a bright blue sky, and even little animals like Sammy the squirrel!
Look at all the wonderful art we’ve created today! 🍂✨ Autumn is such a beautiful time of year, and we’ve shown how we can express its magic through art. Remember to look for colourful leaves and other autumn treasures when you go outside!
I can’t wait to see you all again for our next creative adventure! 🌟
Feel free to share any pictures of your autumn art with your friends and family!
