My little sister Lily was bouncing around, asking, “Can we go to the beach now?” Our hotel was right by the ocean, and we couldn’t wait to explore. The moment that we walked onto the beach, I felt like I was in paradise. The sand was soft and warm beneath my feet, and the clear blue water sparkled in the sunlight. We spent hours playing in the waves, building sandcastles, and collecting seashells. Amazing adventures weren’t just limited to the beach; we visited beautiful temples where we learned about the Balinese culture and traditions. Meanwhile, my Dad tried to teach me how to surf. At first, it was difficult, and I fell many times! But with my family cheering me on, I finally managed to stand on the surfboard. My sister was laughing and splashing water at me, which made the experience even more fun. Each day was filled with new experiences, and by the end of the trip, we felt like we had truly discovered the spirit of Bali.
In the end, our holiday in Bali came to a close far too quickly. As we packed our bags and prepared to leave, I could feel a mix of sadness and happiness. We had experienced so many wonderful moments together. Lily hugged me tightly and said, “I don’t want to go home!” My parents promised we would return one day, and I couldn’t help but agree. We all felt grateful for the memories we created. On the flight home, I stared out the window and smiled, dreaming of the lovely sunsets we watched and the fun times we had on the beach.
