Discussion: What is Math?

Now that we’ve warmed up with some singing, let’s sit in a circle and talk about what math means.

Hands-On Activity: Number Treasure Hunt!

To continue our adventure, we will go on a Number Treasure Hunt!

Preparation:

• Before class, hide number cards (1-10) around the classroom.
• Create a treasure map with clues to help find the numbers.

Instructions:

1. Explain to the children that they will be treasure hunters looking for numbers hidden around the room.
2. Divide them into small groups and give each group a treasure map with hints.
3. Once they find a number, they will gather back and share their number with the class, practicing counting them together.

Conclusion
