Objective
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to recognize and use basic Spanish vocabulary related to everyday objects and greetings.

Lesson Outline
1. Introduction (5 minutes)
- Briefly introduce the lesson's objectives.
- Engage students by asking if they have ever heard any Spanish words or phrases.
- Explain the importance of learning basic vocabulary, especially in a multicultural world.
2. Vocabulary Introduction (10 minutes)
- Present basic vocabulary using flashcards. Include the following categories:
- Greetings: Hola (Hello), Adiós (Goodbye), Por favor (Please), Gracias (Thank you)
- Common Objects: Mesa (Table), Silla (Chair), Libro (Book), Ventana (Window)
- Show images corresponding to the words to aid comprehension.
- Play audio clips for proper pronunciation.
3. Practice Activity (10 minutes)

Activity 1: Matching Game
Distribute flashcards to students and have them match the Spanish word to the correct image on the board.

Activity 2: Role-Playing
Pair students up and have them practice simple dialogues using the greetings learned. E.g.,
- Student A: “Hola, ¿cómo estás?” (Hello, how are you?)
- Student B: “Estoy bien, gracias. ¿Y tú?” (I’m good, thank you. And you?)
4. Review and Reflection (5 minutes)
- Review key vocabulary by asking students to share the words they learned.
- Encourage students to reflect on how they might use these phrases in daily life or while traveling.
- Assign handouts with vocabulary lists for further practice at home.

- Monitor participation during activities and assess understanding through verbal responses.
- Encourage students to pronounce the words in Spanish accurately.
