- Give examples of each and ask students to identify which is which
IV. Introduction to Passive Voice (10 minutes)
- Define passive voice
- Give examples and explain how it is different from active voice
- Show examples of sentences in active voice and convert them to passive voice
- Ask students to identify what changed in the sentence
V. Practice (10 minutes)
- Give examples of sentences in active voice and ask students to turn them into passive voice
- Provide feedback and clarification when needed
- Ask students to identify which sentences are written in passive voice
VI. Application (5 minutes)
- Have students write a short paragraph using at least three sentences in passive voice
- Share some of the paragraphs with the class
VII. Homework (5 minutes)
- Ask students to find five sentences in a book or magazine article that are written in passive voice
