Welcome everyone to today's English as a Second Language lesson on the topic of World Economy. I hope you all are excited to learn something new about the global economy. Today's lesson will be interactive, informative, and conversational so let's jump in and explore the world of economics.
We will begin with a warm-up activity that will help us in understanding the importance of the global economy. I have prepared a small quiz consisting of 5 questions related to the world economy. You all can take this quiz on your smartphones or laptops by using the code provided on the screen.
Now, let's move on to the main activity of today's lesson. In this activity, we will work in pairs or groups, and each group will be given a different country. Your task is to research and find out about the economy of that country.
After the research, you will present your findings to the class. You can use any type of presentation software you like, such as PowerPoint or Google Slides. During the presentation, I will encourage you to use new vocabulary and discuss economic terms in English.
To wrap up this lesson, we will come back together and discuss what we learned about the world economy. We will also discuss the challenges that our assigned countries face and the solutions that we would suggest to improve their economies.
I hope today's lesson gave you a better understanding of the world economy and broadened your vocabulary in the subject. Thank you all for participating actively in this session and I hope to see you all in the next class.
