Introduction

Welcome to today's Spanish lesson! We will be focusing on expanding our vocabulary in order to communicate more effectively.

Ice Breaker

Let's start off with a fun ice breaker. In pairs, I want you to take 2 minutes to introduce yourselves to each other in Spanish. Use any vocabulary words you already know or have recently learned. Then, each person will introduce their partner to the class.

Vocabulary Game

Now, let's dive into our vocabulary lesson with a game. I'm going to say a word in Spanish and the first person to say the English translation gets a point. The person with the most points at the end wins a prize. Ready?

Vocabulary Review

Before we move onto new words, let's review some vocabulary we have learned in past lessons. Please take a few minutes to write down as many words and phrases in Spanish that you can remember. We will go over them together as a class.

New Vocabulary

Now it's time to learn some new words! We will be focusing on vocabulary related to travel. Please take out your notebooks and a pen or pencil. I will provide a list of Spanish words and their English translations. Please write down the corresponding English word next to each Spanish word.

Class Discussion

Let's wrap up with a class discussion. In pairs, I want you to discuss one place you've traveled to and share some of your experiences with the class. We will have a brief discussion as a whole group and share any new vocabulary words we learned from our partners.

Great job, everyone! See you next class.
