Hello, students! It's great to see all of you back in class after your summer vacation. To begin our first English lesson of the year, I'd like to hear about some of the exciting things you did over the summer.
Think for a moment about your summer break. What were some of the highlights? Perhaps you went on a family vacation somewhere exciting or spent some time lounging by the pool with friends. Maybe you tried a new hobby or learned a new skill.
Now, take out a sheet of paper and a pencil. You're going to write a brief reflection on your summer vacation. Answer the following questions:
After you've finished writing, we'll take a few minutes to share our reflections with the class. Who would like to go first? Remember, this is a safe space. Be honest and be proud of what you accomplished over the summer.
